Position description

Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, Minnesota, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist withfellowship in body imaging or neuroradiology is preferred, but all fellowships will be considered.

The candidate would primarily be based out of Austin, MN. The ten-person group covers general radiology for Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, Albert Lea, Owatonna, Faribault, Red Wing, Cannon Falls, and Lake City. While members of the group live in each city, intercity teleradiology is performed daily. Primary duties will be general radiology with ability to read all modalities, including mammography. Subspecialty reads are performed if the radiologist is comfortable or are sent to Mayo Clinic-Rochester for interpretation. Basic procedures such as joint injections are routine.

+ Call rotation is one in ten on weekends

+ On weekdays, exams are sent to a nighthawk teleradiology service beginning at 5pm.

License or certification

Qualified candidates must have M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalent. Must have or be eligible for Minnesota medical license. Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Diagnostic Radiology, which requires at least 5 years of medical training (one year of clinical training, followed by four years of radiology residency training). Candidates must also have completed an additional 12 month fellowship in Breast Imaging, or be in the final year of such fellowship training program.
