Job Duties / Responsibilities:Essential Job Activities:Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems of all plant equipment including mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC & DC motor drives.Troubleshoot and repair electronic problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as programmable controllers, circuit boards, install electronic components, computer programming.Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, check and replace items, and conduct equipment inspections.Analyze equipment breakdowns to help determine root cause and collaborate with others in maintenance, operations, and engineering to implement long term fixes to prevent recurrence.Coordinate and collaborate with other maintenance techs and team members to pinpoint equipment abnormalities for further tracking and analysis.Work with engineering manager and maintenance techs on troubleshooting and correcting process problems.Effectively interact with team members and management through the engagement process in support of company goals.Works with the team in a manner which supports continuous improvement and changeSecondary Job Activities:Provide calibration and repair support for ICV Program.Provide maintenance and operator training to ensure proper use of equipment.Design and fabricate replacement parts or equipment o Keep track of parts inventory and purchase and/or request replacement parts when necessary. Ensure parts are installed in equipment when received.Perform building maintenance and repairs including HVAC, roofs/windows/doors, lights, and forklifts.Keep all work and shop areas clean so as to avoid injury and/or sanitation problems.Use computerized maintenance system for equipment history & parts.Provide input into mechanical, electrical and electronic designs of equipment.Perform any other assigned duties as assigned by management.Working Conditions:Work in all plant areas and outside the plant.Exposure to extreme heat and cold, humidity, fumes, gases, odors and dust.Exposure to high noise levels.Work around moving machinery that is electrically and mechanically hazardous.Also work with highly combustible or potentially explosive equipment.Work at heights up to 35ft.Problem Solving:Must identify and solve mechanical, electrical and electronic plant or equipment problems.Provide input into engineering designs, e.g. electrical or electronic systems or changes-- practicality and convenience.Job Accountability:Works under the supervision of the Plant Engineering Manager.Responsible for solving mechanical, electrical and electronic problems of the plant facility and production equipment in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.Responsible for maintenance during assigned times.Works rotating shifts and weekends.The Plant Engineering Manager serves as back up to the Maintenance Technicians.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education: 1-2 years vocational training in industrial maintenance or related technical field.Experience: 3-5 years experience in plant production equipment maintenance in areas of mechanical, electrical, and plc / controls. Experience in a food processing environment preferred.Skills:Must be able to read and understand English.Ability to understand the theory of operation and maintenance of a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment.Ability to effectively troubleshoot, analyze, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems across all areas and types of equipment within the plant.Knowledge and ability to operate machine tools, power tools, hand tools, test equipment/meters, welding equipment, boom lifts, and forklifts.Ability to read and understand blue prints, schematics, and technical manuals.Ability to troubleshoot and manipulate programmable logic controllers (PLC) and servo systems.Knowledge of statistical process contro
